A-MAE-ZING UPDATES
It’s the hottest August in more ways than one!
Construction Updates:
-
Rough MEPs (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) are complete, which leads the way to insulation and drywall installations starting this upcoming week.
-
The exterior of the house has been wrapped in Tyvek.
-
Windows + most of the exterior doors have been installed (the front door + French doors will arrive soon!)
-
Copper trim installation has begun + we are anxiously awaiting for the copper standing seam roof to be installed in the front. Yay!
-
The composite shingle roof has been loaded and will be installed next month.
-
The beadboard lid at our two outdoor porches is installed and looks so nice!
-
Siding shingles will be installed next month, which will close up the house before the fall weather comes.
Special Thanks to the new Subcontractors on Site:
-
Thank you to the stellar team at Cunningham Doors + Windows who have installed the doors + windows for us. They look fantastic! Thank you to Dayle Cunningham and his crew for working on this project with us.
-
Big thanks to M&D Sheet Metal for the copper elements, including the copper standing seam roof, copper gutters + the copper flashing. These copper elements add so much warmth and detail to the home.
-
Thanks to Armstrong & Aceves for their hard work on the shingle roofing. They loaded the entire roof in just a few hours and have been critical to keeping the project on schedule.
Below you will find a few photos of the past month on site.
More to come in our monthly construction emails! Thank you in advance for following along and being a part of this A-MAE-ZING journey with us.

August has been so warm, so the Mae House girls have taken advantage of their pool and taking lots of dips to stay cool. Carrie and Tanette braved the heat for a super fun day at the OC Fair and the girls hosted a Family Day decorating special canvas pouches. Also Happy Birthday to Gina!
See pics below!
Love, Carrie, Gina, Hannah and Tanette
