A-MAE-ZING UPDATES!
MARCH-ing onwards!
Construction Updates:
-
For the past three weeks, the hard-working team at IMAC has been preparing for the foundation pour, by putting in place the gravel, vapor barrier, and sand.
-
The Monolithic Pour for Footings and Slab-on-Grade Foundation is planned for next Thursday.
-
A monolithic slab-on-grade is a foundation poured in one continuous process, combining the thickened perimeter footings and the floor slab into a single, seamless concrete unit. A slab-on-grade foundation is a structural concrete floor poured directly onto a prepared ground level, offering cost-effective, termite-resistant, and durable construction.
-
Next step will be framing …. up we go!
Special Thanks:
-
Our continued thanks to Architect, Tom Rakestraw, especially for his design of this monolithic foundation.
-
Shout out to Sean Moore at Steel Builders Inc. for structural steel columns, our first step in going vertical.
-
Big thanks to C.W. Plumbing for their support of our project and vision.
-
C.W. connected us with their supplier, Ferguson, who blew us away with their generous discount for our order of Rough and Finished Plumbing Materials.
Below you will find a few photos of the past four weeks on site. More to come in our monthly construction emails! Thank you for following along and being a part of this A-MAE-ZING journey with us.

February was a fun month at Mae House, and the girls hosted a Valentine’s Day Party with their family and friends. They made beaded bracelets + sprinkled cookies. See pics below!
