Recently, Mae House was nominated as a contender for a grant from the 100 Companies That Care Group. This grant targets exemplary non-profit organizations that are making positive impact in the lives of people in Orange County. As a finalist with 2 other non-profit organizations, Mae House had the opportunity to present to a group of approximately 40 companies in Orange County. Much like a Venture Capital Pitch, we had 6 minutes to highlight our work to donors who wanted to know how their potential investment in Mae House will lead to the greatest community impact in Orange County. The Mae House team of Liz, Ted, Annie and Tanette, were victorious in being awarded $32,000 as the 1st place winner!
It was such an honor and validation for the Mae House community to receive this recognition, affirming the important and valuable work we do each day.
